Amaretto Sour

Ingredients
- Amaretto45ml1½ oz
- Bourbon22ml¾ oz
- Lemon Juice30ml1 oz
- Simple Syrup15ml½ oz
- Egg White15ml½ oz
How to make it
Dry shake all ingredients, then shake with ice. Strain into old-fashioned glass. Garnish with cherry.

Jeffrey Morgenthaler modern version added bourbon for complexity.
Missing something?
- No amaretto? Use Frangelico (Hazelnut instead of almond)
- No bourbon? Use Jim Beam Bourbon (Jim Beam is a bourbon)
- No bourbon? Use Jack Daniels (Tennessee whiskey is made much like bourbon)
- No lemon juice? Use Lemon (Squeeze fresh: 1 lemon gives about 30 ml)
- No lemon juice? Use Lime Juice (Sharper, different aroma)
- No simple syrup? Use Sugar (1 tsp sugar is about 7.5 ml syrup; stir until dissolved)
- No simple syrup? Use Honey Syrup (Adds honey flavour)
- No egg white? Use Aquafaba (Chickpea Water) (Chickpea water: same foam and vegan. Use the same amount)
