- Tequila60ml2 oz
- Lime Juice22.5ml¾ oz
- Soda WaterTop up
How to make it
Fill a highball glass with ice, add the tequila and lime juice and stir. Top up with sparkling mineral water (Topo Chico is traditional) or soda water. Garnish with a lime wedge.
About the Ranch Water
A bone-dry West Texas highball of blanco tequila, lime and sparkling mineral water, traditionally Topo Chico from Monterrey, Mexico. Its simplicity has made it a warm-weather staple well beyond Texas.

- No tequila? Use Tequila Reposado (Rounder, a little oak)
- No tequila? Use Mezcal (Adds smoke)
- No lime juice? Use Lime (Squeeze fresh: 1 lime gives about 25 ml)
- No lime juice? Use Lemon Juice (Softer, different aroma)
