Paloma Slush

Slushie machineHighballHighball glass

This makes a 1 litre batch for a slushie machine. The sugar and alcohol are balanced so it freezes properly, so stick to the amounts.

Ingredients

How to make it

Stir the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice and simple syrup together with a small pinch of salt, then add the soda water slowly. Pour into the slushie machine and run its alcoholic preset (the batch card shows which one) until the slush is ready; the bubbles fade as it churns. Serve in salt-rimmed highball glasses with a grapefruit wedge.

About the Paloma Slush

The Paloma, Spanish for 'dove', is one of Mexico's most popular tequila drinks. This slush uses fresh grapefruit juice instead of grapefruit soda.
