About the Death Flip
Chris Hysted-Adams created it in 2010 at Black Pearl in Melbourne, where it went on the menu without an ingredient list, just a warning that you wouldn't want to meet it in a dark alley. The name nods both to the flip, an old style of drink made with a whole egg, and to a skateboard trick.
Missing something?
- No Tequila? Use Tequila Reposado (Rounder, a little oak)
- No Tequila? Use Mezcal (Adds smoke)
- No Jägermeister? Use Fernet-Branca (More bitter and less sweet)
- No Yellow Chartreuse? Use Green Chartreuse (Stronger and more herbal, so use a bit less)
- No Yellow Chartreuse? Use Bénédictine (Honey and herbs, a close match)
All swaps for Tequila, Jägermeister and Yellow Chartreuse
