About the Industry Sour
Credited to St. Louis bartender Ted Kilgore, it builds a sour on equal parts Fernet-Branca and Green Chartreuse, two bottles bartenders famously drink themselves.
Missing something?
- No Fernet-Branca? Use Jägermeister (Similar herbal profile, sweeter)
- No Green Chartreuse? Use Yellow Chartreuse (Sweeter, milder and lower proof)
- No Lime Juice? Use Lime (Squeeze fresh: 1 lime gives about 25 ml)
- No Lime Juice? Use Lemon Juice (Softer, different aroma)
- No Simple Syrup? Use Sugar (1 tsp sugar is about 7.5 ml syrup; stir until dissolved)
- No Simple Syrup? Use Honey Syrup (Adds honey flavour)
