Aperol Spritz Slush
Slushie machineWine GlassWine glass
This makes a 1 litre batch for a slushie machine. The sugar and alcohol are balanced so it freezes properly, so stick to the amounts.
Ingredients
- Aperol250ml8¼ oz
- Prosecco400ml13¼ oz
- Orange Juice150ml5 oz
- Simple Syrup50ml1⅔ oz
- Water150ml5 oz
How to make it
Stir the Aperol, orange juice, simple syrup and water together, then add the prosecco slowly so it doesn't foam over. Pour into the slushie machine and run its alcoholic preset (the batch card shows which one) until the slush is ready; the bubbles fade as it churns. Serve in wine glasses with an orange slice.
About the Aperol Spritz Slush
Aperol was created by the Barbieri brothers in Padua in 1919. It became a worldwide aperitivo after Campari bought the brand in 2003 and promoted the Aperol Spritz.
Missing something?
- No aperol? Use Campari (More bitter, so use a bit less)
- No prosecco? Use Champagne (Drier and toastier)
- No orange juice? Use Orange (Squeeze fresh: 1 orange gives about 70 ml)
- No orange juice? Use Blood Orange Juice (Berry-like and deep red)
- No simple syrup? Use Sugar (1 tsp sugar is about 7.5 ml syrup; stir until dissolved)
- No simple syrup? Use Honey Syrup (Adds honey flavour)
