Ingredients
- Gin30ml1 oz
- Cherry Heering15ml½ oz
- Triple Sec7.5ml¼ oz
- Bénédictine7.5ml¼ oz
- Pineapple Juice120ml4 oz
- Lime Juice15ml½ oz
- Grenadine10ml⅓ oz
- Angostura Bitters1 dash
How to make it
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice.

Created at Singapore's Raffles Hotel around 1915 by bartender Ngiam Tong Boon.

- No gin? Use Old Tom Gin (Slightly sweeter)
- No gin? Use Genever (Maltier and rounder)
- No cherry heering? Use Cherry Brandy (Both are dark cherry liqueurs)
- No cherry heering? Use Cherry Liqueur
- No triple sec? Use Grand Marnier (Richer and cognac-based)
- No triple sec? Use Blue Curaçao (Same flavour, but turns the drink blue)
- No bénédictine? Use Drambuie (Honeyed like Bénédictine, but whisky-based)
- No bénédictine? Use Yellow Chartreuse (More herbal)
- No lime juice? Use Lime (Squeeze fresh: 1 lime gives about 25 ml)
- No lime juice? Use Lemon Juice (Softer, different aroma)
- No grenadine? Use Raspberry Syrup (Berry instead of pomegranate)
- No angostura bitters? Use Peychaud's Bitters (Lighter, with more anise)
