Ingredients
- 30mlDark Rum
- 30mlWhite Rum
- 30mlCrème de Banane
- 15mlCrème de Mûre
- 60mlPineapple Juice
- 30mlLime Juice
- 10mlGrenadine
How to make it
- Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a hurricane glass filled with crushed ice.
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a cherry.
Tip: Fill the shaker with ice and shake hard for 10 to 15 seconds, until the tin is frosty.
About the Rum Runner
Credited to the Holiday Isle Tiki Bar in Islamorada, Florida Keys, reportedly created to use up surplus banana and blackberry liqueur. The name recalls the Prohibition smugglers who ran rum through the Keys.
