  • No white rum? Use Gold Rum (A little richer)
  • No white rum? Use Cachaça (Grassier and funkier)
  • No dark rum? Use Aged Rum (Lighter, less molasses)
  • No dark rum? Use Gold Rum (Lighter, less molasses)
  • No overproof rum? Use Dark Rum (Less alcohol and less punch)
  • No overproof rum? Use Aged Rum (Less alcohol and less punch)
  • No lime juice? Use Lime (Squeeze fresh: 1 lime gives about 25 ml)
  • No lime juice? Use Lemon Juice (Softer, different aroma)
  • No falernum? Use Velvet Falernum (The liqueur version; slightly less sweet)
  • No grenadine? Use Raspberry Syrup (Berry instead of pomegranate)
  • No angostura bitters? Use Peychaud's Bitters (Lighter, with more anise)
