Ingredients
- Tequila50ml1⅔ oz
- Triple Sec20ml⅔ oz
- Lime Juice15ml½ oz
How to make it
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass with salted rim.
About the Margarita
Origins disputed, but likely created in Mexico in the late 1930s or 1940s.

- No tequila? Use Tequila Reposado (Rounder, a little oak)
- No tequila? Use Mezcal (Adds smoke)
- No triple sec? Use Grand Marnier (Richer and cognac-based)
- No triple sec? Use Blue Curaçao (Same flavour, but turns the drink blue)
- No lime juice? Use Lime (Squeeze fresh: 1 lime gives about 25 ml)
- No lime juice? Use Lemon Juice (Softer, different aroma)
