How to make it
- Fill a glass with ice, pour in equal parts red wine and cola and stir gently.
- Garnish with a lemon wedge if you like.
Tip: Fill the glass right to the top with ice so the drink stays cold without watering down fast.
About the Kalimotxo
The Basque Country's party drink. The name is usually traced to a 1972 festival in Algorta, where friends rescued a batch of poor wine with cola and named the mix after two of their nicknames, Kalimero and Motxo.
