About the Greenpoint
Created by Michael McIlroy at Milk & Honey in New York in the mid-2000s, one of a series of riffs on the Brooklyn cocktail named after Brooklyn neighbourhoods. McIlroy's original used Punt e Mes as the vermouth.
Missing something?
- No Rye Whiskey? Use Bourbon (Softer and sweeter than rye's spice)
- No Rye Whiskey? Use Jim Beam Bourbon (A bourbon: softer and sweeter than rye)
- No Yellow Chartreuse? Use Green Chartreuse (Stronger and more herbal, so use a bit less)
- No Yellow Chartreuse? Use Bénédictine
- No Sweet Vermouth? Use Punt e Mes (Noticeably more bitter)
- No Angostura Bitters? Use Peychaud's Bitters (Lighter, with more anise)
