History
Made by Carpano in Turin since 1870. The name is Piedmontese for 'point and a half', said to come from a stockbroker at the Carpano bar who ordered his vermouth with a point of sweetness and half a point of bitterness.
How it’s made
Wine is fortified with grape spirit and flavoured with a secret blend of botanicals, with more bittering herbs such as quinine than a typical sweet vermouth.
