About the Doctor Funk
The name recalls Bernard Funk, a doctor in Samoa who treated Robert Louis Stevenson and mixed a drink of absinthe, citrus and grenadine. Donn Beach later added rum to turn it into a tiki cocktail.
Missing something?
- No White Rum? Use Gold Rum (A little richer)
- No White Rum? Use Cachaça (Grassier and funkier)
- No Lime Juice? Use Lime (Squeeze fresh: 1 lime gives about 25 ml)
- No Lime Juice? Use Lemon Juice (Softer, different aroma)
- No Grenadine? Use Raspberry Syrup (Berry instead of pomegranate)
All swaps for White Rum and Lime Juice
