Ingredients

How to make it

  1. Whisk the cream of coconut into the pineapple and orange juice until smooth, then stir in the rum and water.
  2. Pour into the slushie machine and run its alcoholic preset (the batch card shows which one) until the slush is ready.
  3. Serve in hurricane glasses with freshly grated nutmeg and a pineapple wedge.

About the Painkiller Slush

The Painkiller comes from the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands in the 1970s; Pusser's Rum later trademarked the name. Use sweetened cream of coconut, not unsweetened coconut cream.

Missing something?

  • No Dark Rum? Use Aged Rum (Lighter, less molasses)
  • No Dark Rum? Use Gold Rum (Lighter, less molasses)
  • No Orange Juice? Use Orange (Squeeze fresh: 1 orange gives about 70 ml)
  • No Orange Juice? Use Blood Orange Juice (Berry-like and deep red)
  • No Coconut Cream? Use Cream (Loses the coconut flavour)
