How to make it

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a shot glass and dip it into chilli-lime salt.
  2. Shake the tequila, watermelon schnapps and hot sauce with ice for about ten seconds.
  3. Strain into the prepared glass and optionally garnish with a lime wedge.

Tip: Fill the shaker with ice and shake hard for 10 to 15 seconds, until the tin is frosty.

About the Mexican Candy

Also called a Paleta Shot or Mexican Lollipop, this shooter echoes chilli-coated watermelon candy. Watermelon schnapps supplies the sweetness while hot sauce and a chilli-lime rim add heat and tang.
