Limoncello Slush

This makes a 1 litre batch for a slushie machine. The sugar and alcohol are balanced so it freezes properly, so stick to the amounts.

How to make it

Stir the limoncello, lemonade and water together. Pour into the slushie machine and run its alcoholic preset (the batch card shows which one) until the slush is ready. Use full-sugar lemonade: diet lemonade won't freeze properly. Serve in small glasses with a lemon twist.

About the Limoncello Slush

Limoncello is the traditional after-dinner liqueur of the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Capri, made by steeping lemon zest in alcohol and sweetening it with syrup.
