About the Corpse Reviver No. 1
Printed in Harry Craddock's Savoy Cocktail Book (1930) as a morning pick-me-up. Unlike the gin-based No. 2, it is a stirred, brandy-led drink.
Missing something?
- No Cognac? Use Brandy (Cognac is a grape brandy; any decent brandy works)
- No Calvados? Use Apple Brandy (Calvados is French apple brandy)
- No Calvados? Use Cognac (Grape instead of apple)
- No Sweet Vermouth? Use Punt e Mes (Noticeably more bitter)
