How to make it

  1. Use gold Puerto Rican rum and dark Demerara rum.
  2. Shake all ingredients vigorously with ice, then pour unstrained into a tiki mug.
  3. Add more ice and garnish with a lime wheel.

Tip: Fill the shaker with ice and shake hard for 10 to 15 seconds, until the tin is frosty.

This mid-century tiki drink keeps things simple with equal measures of two rums, lime and grenadine. Its name and skull-shaped mug reflect the theatrical presentation common in tiki bars of the 1950s.
