- 10mlLemon Juice
- 10mlGrenadine
- 60mlGinger Ale
How to make it
- Fill a highball glass with ice.
- Add the apple juice, cranberry juice and lemon juice and stir.
- Top up with the ginger ale, then pour the grenadine slowly down the inside of the glass so it sinks and bleeds red through the drink.
- Garnish with a thin red apple slice.
Tip: Fill the glass right to the top with ice so the drink stays cold without watering down fast.
About the Poison Apple
Named after the apple Snow White's stepmother poisons in the Grimm fairy tale. Grenadine sinks because it is denser than juice, so it settles as a red layer at the bottom.
Missing something?
- No Lemon Juice? Use Lemon (Squeeze fresh: 1 lemon gives about 30 ml)
- No Lemon Juice? Use Lime Juice (Sharper, different aroma)
- No Grenadine? Use Raspberry Syrup (Berry instead of pomegranate)
- No Ginger Ale? Use Ginger Beer (Spicier)
All swaps for Lemon Juice, Grenadine and Ginger Ale
