Ingredients

How to make it

  1. Pour the amaretto into a shot glass and place it upright inside a frosted beer mug or pint glass.
  2. Carefully pour the lager around it, then add the orange juice.
  3. Serve immediately.

Tip: Fill the glass right to the top with ice so the drink stays cold without watering down fast.

About the Lunchbox

Edna Scott created the Lunchbox at Edna's in Oklahoma City while attempting to make another drink. Its amaretto shot rests inside a frosted mug of light beer and orange juice; the bar has served millions of them.

Missing something?

  • No Orange Juice? Use Orange (Squeeze fresh: 1 orange gives about 70 ml)
  • No Orange Juice? Use Blood Orange Juice (Berry-like and deep red)
  • No Amaretto? Use Frangelico (Hazelnut instead of almond)

All swaps for Orange Juice
