About the Gin-Gin Mule

Audrey Saunders created it around 2000 at Beacon in New York, crossing a Mojito with a Moscow Mule. She originally topped it with her own drier, homemade ginger beer.

Missing something?

  • No Gin? Use Old Tom Gin (Slightly sweeter)
  • No Gin? Use Genever (Maltier and rounder)
  • No Lime Juice? Use Lime (Squeeze fresh: 1 lime gives about 25 ml)
  • No Lime Juice? Use Lemon Juice (Softer, different aroma)
  • No Simple Syrup? Use Sugar (1 tsp sugar is about 7.5 ml syrup; stir until dissolved)
  • No Simple Syrup? Use Honey Syrup (Adds honey flavour)
  • No Ginger Beer? Use Ginger Ale (Milder and sweeter)
