Ingredients
- 60mlVodka
- 3 dashesAngostura Bitters
- 120mlGinger Ale
How to make it
- Fill a Collins glass with ice.
- Add the vodka and bitters, top up with the ginger ale and stir gently.
- Garnish with an orange wheel.
Tip: Fill the glass right to the top with ice so the drink stays cold without watering down fast.
About the Headless Horseman
The recipe appears in the 1969 Old Mr. Boston DeLuxe Official Bartender's Guide and stayed in later editions of the book. The name comes from the ghostly rider in Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
