Gin Rickey

- Lime Juice22.5ml¾ oz
- Soda WaterTop up
How to make it
Build the gin and lime juice over ice in a chilled Collins glass, top up with soda water and stir briefly. Garnish with a lime wheel. A true Rickey has no added sugar.
About the Gin Rickey
Created in 1880s Washington, D.C. for lobbyist Colonel Joe Rickey, who took his whiskey with lime and soda but no sugar. The gin version became the classic, turns up in The Great Gatsby, and was named Washington, D.C.'s official cocktail in 2011.

- No gin? Use Genever (Maltier and rounder)
- No lime juice? Use Lime (Squeeze fresh: 1 lime gives about 25 ml)
- No lime juice? Use Lemon Juice (Softer, different aroma)
