How to make it

Add vodka, blue curaçao, lemon juice and simple syrup to a shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with soda water and stir gently. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

About the Electric Lemonade

The Electric Lemonade gets its striking blue colour from blue curaçao. It's a fun, visually impressive cocktail that's become popular at parties and summer gatherings.

  • No vodka? Use Citrus Vodka (Adds a lemon note)
  • No blue curaçao? Use Triple Sec (Same flavour, no blue colour)
  • No blue curaçao? Use Grand Marnier (Richer, no blue colour)
  • No lemon juice? Use Lemon (Squeeze fresh: 1 lemon gives about 30 ml)
  • No lemon juice? Use Lime Juice (Sharper, different aroma)
  • No simple syrup? Use Sugar (1 tsp sugar is about 7.5 ml syrup; stir until dissolved)
  • No simple syrup? Use Honey Syrup (Adds honey flavour)
