- Maraschino Liqueur15ml½ oz
- Lemon Juice15ml½ oz
- Crème de Violette7.5ml¼ oz
How to make it
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
About the Aviation
Created in 1916, its sky-blue color from crème de violette gives it its aeronautical name.

- No gin? Use Old Tom Gin (Slightly sweeter)
- No gin? Use Genever (Maltier and rounder)
- No maraschino liqueur? Use Kirsch (Dry cherry spirit; add a little simple syrup)
- No lemon juice? Use Lemon (Squeeze fresh: 1 lemon gives about 30 ml)
- No lemon juice? Use Lime Juice (Sharper, different aroma)
