Ingredients
- Orange Juice120ml4 oz
- Grenadine15ml½ oz
How to make it
Fill a highball glass with ice. Add orange juice (and maybe a splash of soda water for lightness). Slowly pour in grenadine so it sinks to the bottom, creating a sunrise effect. Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.
About the Virgin Sunrise
Named after the Tequila Sunrise, whose grenadine sinks through the orange juice like a sunrise. The modern version of that drink comes from 1970s Sausalito, California.

- No orange juice? Use Blood Orange Juice (Berry-like and deep red)
- No grenadine? Use Raspberry Syrup (Berry instead of pomegranate)
